Judge Christopher Ball said this was an extremely sad case. In passing sentence, he said to Weber: "I have concerns about your mental fortitude and your ability to cope. I have a real fear that once free and unsupervised, you will try to kill yourself again."
........... and prison is the answer????????????? I agree Bluebuff. It seems that the law in this case is (and has acted like) an ass. I'm sure the Judge could have come up with something else. Brave Judges do things and make judgements which force changes in the laws.

If the man had to be penalised he could have been given Community Service which might have helped him adjust to his new situation.
